Corrections policy
This policy applies to guides and news published by ClaimPrep. If a statement, source, date or regional scope appears wrong, you can request an editorial review.
Report a correction
Email [email protected] with the article URL, the statement you believe needs correction, why it may be inaccurate and a supporting source when available. You can also report a broken link or an accessibility problem.
Please do not send private claim documents or sensitive personal information in an editorial correction request. This channel is for published content and is not an emergency or individual claim advice service.
How a correction is assessed
The editorial review checks the specific statement against the relevant source and its jurisdiction, dates and limitations. A proposed change is recorded in a working revision and independently reviewed before it replaces the published article. A report does not automatically change the public content.
What readers will see
A material correction includes a visible note explaining the change. We preserve the original publication date and show a separate update date for meaningful changes. Verification dates describe a review of the content; they do not turn an older report into a new event.
If an official announcement is replaced or withdrawn, the revised article should identify that change and link to the relevant source. Older news can remain available when it is historically accurate and its dates and context are clear.
Withdrawing content
Content may be temporarily unpublished while an issue is assessed or permanently removed when continued publication is inappropriate. A removed page explains that the resource is no longer available. We do not silently replace a removed article with an unrelated one at the same address.
